ABHIKANT NIRBHAVANE · SENIOR UX DESIGNER

I design for
complicated work in

Most of my work sits where teams have rules to follow, edge cases to catch, and decisions to explain. I turn that mess into clear flows and reusable patterns. When AI shows up, people can see why it made a suggestion and override it.

AI-Assisted Dispute Intake

Why AI was chosen, how confidence and override keep humans in control, and the audit log designed as a feedback loop where every override teaches the model.

HOW I WORK
01

Predictable is trustworthy

In financial systems, consistency isn't an aesthetic preference. Every inconsistent pattern adds risk. Admins moving money need to know exactly what a click will do.

02

Transparency beats automation

AI earns trust when it shows its reasoning. On Disputes Workspace I shipped AI-assisted intake with confidence indicators, visible evidence, and a one-click way for a person to override it. I also kept AI out of systems where plain deterministic rules are safer to trust. Knowing which call to make is most of the job.

03

Structure before surface

The IA redesigns I've shipped moved usability more than any visual decision. Separate configuration from operations, then make it beautiful.

04

Accessible, accountable AI

Accessibility and AI ethics share the same root: systems that affect real people carry real responsibility. I build for WCAG compliance from day one. When AI is involved, bias must be visible, outcomes explainable, and human override always possible.
